Renovations

Updating the House

The house at 725 Linden was built in 1915, and while it has gone through two major renovations, it continues to need other upgrades to keep up the building and adjust for the changing needs of the women living in the house.

Upsilon Chapter has taken efforts to preserve and enrichen the home we all love, from remodeling the bathrooms to restoring the wood floors in the front of the house.

If you would like to see a current tour of the house, please enjoy the tour provided in the video.

In 2021-2027 Upsilon will be spending efforts to revitalizing parts of the house that are unseen.  This will include electrical and HVAC as well as long term stabilization efforts.

In the summer of 2021, we brought the brick walls at the entry to the house down half-way, to still provide a private sitting area, but open up the entrance of the house to be more welcoming. We also stained the side porch patio to match the stain at the entry of the house and bought new outdoor furniture for the women to enjoy. The last renovation that occurred over the summer was to refinish the flooring on the sun porch. This is a multi-phase renovation before it will be ready for the women to use again, but this first step was an important one!
